Jordan Pickford has named one Manchester City player he says is very funny behind the scenes.
Having played 286 games in the Premier League and 61 for England ahead of tonight’s friendly match against Iceland, the 30-year-old has shared the dressing room with a wide range of top-level players.
With the Everton shot-stopper likely to be in action for England for the upcoming European Championship in Germany, he has shared a bit of insight into some of the personalities in the national squad, with some City players, and one in particular, getting a special mention.
Jordan Pickford says he finds Jack Grealish hilarious
In a recent interview clip shared on the Channel 4 Football TikTok page, Pickford had this to say on the topic of what the banter is like in the England squad and who he gets on well with the most.
He said: “I like winding [Kieran Trippier] up, to be honest. We get on really well and we have some good banter but there’s a few jokers in the squad.
When asked who some of the jokers are in the England squad, Pickford said this.
“[John Stones], Kyle Walker, Grealish is hilarious but I don’t think he means to be hilarious, he just is.”

The 28-year-old has a reputation for having a big personality, which was shown during last year’s celebrations at City after Pep Guardiola’s side won the Treble.
Unfortunately for Pickford and the rest of his England teammates, they won’t be able to enjoy Grealish’s company throughout the upcoming tournament in Germany as Gareth Southgate decided to cut the winger from the final squad.
After Grealish provided an assist in England’s recent 3-0 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina, Southgate said in his post-match press conference that the City star has the sort of personality that makes him very enjoyable to work with behind the scenes.
But clearly not enough to include in the final squad for the Euros.
