Sandusky (Ohio) Perkins receiver Braylon Collier tells On3 he has committed to Michigan State.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Collier chose to play for Spartans head coach Jonathan Smith and his staff over Iowa State, Iowa and a slew of other programs.
Collier took his official visit to East Lansing last weekend. He becomes commit No. 5 in the 2025 cycle.
“Really just the family atmosphere they have figured out already with it being a new staff,” Collier said. Receivers coaches Courtney Hawkins and Cordale Grundy made him feel comfortable.
“Geographically it’s two and a half hours away. That’s convenient for me and my family. Doing my research on the players they have coming and leaving and Coach Hawk and Coach Grundy they were great to my family and treated us like royalty all weekend during my official visit.”
Collier added he’s excited to jump in and be part of building Michigan State back into a Big Ten powerhouse.
“New staff, Coach Smith coming over and bringing Aidan Chiles with them is exciting,” Collier said. “Something special is building in East Lansing and I’m excited to be part of it.”
As a junior Collier turned 84 receptions into 1,200-plus yards and 18 touchdowns.
“Coach Hawkins track record sending guys to the league, Jayden Reed and Keon Coleman and then he knows what it takes to get to that next level himself of being a receiver in the league for nine years,” Collier explained. “That’s a goal of mine and I’m excited to see him progress my game and get me to the next level.”
