President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared a very frank assessment of the current situation in Russia's war against Ukraine during a meeting with President of the US Joe Biden in Paris, according to Ukrinform.

"He shared with President Biden a very frank assessment of what is happening, as well as the pressure they (in Ukraine) continue to feel, especially in the east, in Donbas," said White House adviser John Kirby.

He declined to provide more detailed information to not complicate Ukraine's defense on the battlefield.

According to Kirby, US military aid has helped Ukraine thwart the advances of Russian forces, especially in the Kharkiv region. However, more efforts are needed to push them back, the White House representative noted. Biden, he said, assured Zelenskyy of continued support for Ukraine from the US.

Yesterday, June 7, Zelenskyy, who is currently visiting France, began negotiations with Biden.

The President of the US apologized to the President of Ukraine for the months-long delay in providing military aid to Ukraine.
