Russia's losses in Ukraine as of June 7: Over 1,200 troops, 36 artillery systems and 59 UAVs

During the day, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated another 1,210 Russian invaders. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, as of the morning of June 8, Russia has lost 517,290 soldiers. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 36 artillery systems and shot down 59 operational-tactical drones, according to the command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to June 8, 2024, are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: 517,290 (+1,210) eliminated
  • Tanks: 7,843 (+9)
  • APV (Armored personnel vehicles): 15,105 (+9)
  • Artillery systems: 13,533 (+36)
  • MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems): 1,095
  • Anti aircraft warfare systems: 834 (+1)
  • Aircraft: 357
  • Helicopters: 326
  • UAVs operational-tactical level: 10,945 (+59)
  • Cruise missiles: 2,277 (+7)
  • Warships/boats: 28 (+1)
  • Submarines: 1
  • Vehicles and fuel tankers: 18,484 (+68)
  • Special equipment: 2,248 (+10)

The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) concluded that Ukraine's strikes on Russian territory using Western weapons do not cross Moscow's "red lines."

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that, according to NATO Admiral Rob Bauer, Ukraine should be given the right to strike Russian territory with Western weapons without range limitations.
