A 'professional s---poster' took Fox News' Sean Hannity for a ride.

Political and legal commentator Allison Gill, better known as "Mueller, She Wrote" was taken aback, writing:"Wow. He’s really going with this. Lol."

Her cynicism was based upon the top news item promoted by Hannity which proclaimed was grounds for a "mistrial."

"And earlier tonight — this is huge, —Judge Merchan from the Trump trial sent a letter to lawyers on both sides of the case letting them know that before the verdict was announced that a Facebook user —I believe the day before the verdict — left a comment on the state court system's posts, writing 'My cousin is a juror and says Trump is getting convicted.' Okay, was the fix in from the beginning? And is this cause for a mistrial?" the Fox News host asked.

But long before Hannity's show took to the airwaves, the wheels were wobbly if not fully coming off the claim, once the person, who goes by the name "Michael Anderson" backtracked.

"Take it easy ... I'm a professional s---poster," Anderson wrote.

grew quickly.

Anderson had claimed to be a cousin of one of the jurors, something that has yet to be confirmed.

The time stamp occurring before the verdict was reached is a critical detail; although the New York court system post it was attached to was a day beforehand.

Hannity and many supporters ran with it, as did some right-wing activists who Trump's conviction to be immediately tossed.

And yet despite the mounting evidence against the legitimacy of Anderson's comment — Hannity led his show with the item and its potential to warrant a mistrial.

"They don’t care that the guy who posted it said it was a joke," writes @JJ97621560. "They are going all in on this."

@Kimmi1965 also called out the Fox host, writing, "Blatant lies and propaganda is all they have now. Because Trumps RETRIBUTION tour is not working," the post reads.

Liam Nissan spelled out the desire to get a cheap shot against the legal system which clearly backfired in this instance.

"Hannity reporting s--- that was clearly debunked many hours ago," he writes. https://x.com/theliamnissan/status/179925933100460...

JMmotown knocked Hannity's pumping up the accusation to being "the King of Disinformation."

@BaloneyTony305 also dispelled any credence that Hannity could be fair and impartial here, sarcastically writing: "Sean Hannity calls himself a journalist."
