In addition to the attack on North Ossetia, Russia complained about the drone attack on Russian Dagestan on June 8.

Local Telegram channels claim that Dagestan was allegedly attacked by “Ukrainian Armed Forces drones,” and this is the first time it has happened.

According to them, one UAV allegedly just “crashed” near an oil field in the Nogai district “after it was hit with an assault rifle.”

The Russian media claim to have even identified the type of drone - allegedly, it is nothing more than a Mugin-5 Pro, 3.5 meters long and with a wingspan of 5 meters.

“Such a UAV accelerates to 150 km/h and can fly from launch to arrival point for seven hours,” the Russian media states.

Attack on North Ossetia

On June 8, Russia claimed that Ukrainian drones had attempted to attack North Ossetia, allegedly targeting an airfield. It was probably the Mozdok airfield.

This is where MiG-31K and Tu-22M3 aircraft are based. In particular, the former are carriers of Kinzhals and when they take off, Ukraine always announces a large-scale air alert.

Later, RBC-Ukraine learned that the drone attack on North Ossetia was a Defense Intelligence operation. The consequences of the attack are currently being clarified.
