Cambridge City manager Jamie Cureton secures agreement to bring in goalkeeper Tom Middlehurst

New Cambridge City manager Jamie Cureton has started to shape his squad for the upcoming 2024/25 Pitching In Isthmian League North Division campaign.

The former Norwich City, Bristol Rovers and Reading striker has added a goalkeeper to the City ranks, as well as reaching an agreement with three members of the previous season’s squad.

Cureton has recruited ‘keeper Tom Middlehurst, who last made 10 appearances between the posts for fellow North Division outfit Maldon & Tiptree in 2023/24.

Standing at 6’7” tall, Middlehurst started out on the books of Sky Bet Championship side Queens Park Rangers and has also previously turned out for Harlow Town, Coggeshall Town, Aveley and Saffron Walden Town.

Meanwhile, the Lilywhites have also confirmed that Ed Tassell, Tommy Rigby and Caleb Chandler will all return to the club for the new term.
