Last week at Gateway, Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch got into one another on the track and it caused a little bit of drama. The two NASCAR champions are usually on good terms so the incident raised eyebrows at the time.
A week later, Kyle Larson is still adamant that he has no hard feelings toward Busch. After all, Larson finished the race and earned a top-10 finish for himself. That is more than what Busch can say after the wreck.
During a media availability at Sonoma Raceway, Larson opened up about the incident. He has not spoken to Busch. However, Larson isn’t too worried about it. In fact, he doesn’t believe it is much of an issue at all.

There are times when wrecks are the fault of one driver, sometimes both. Maybe the whole thing was a little bit of Larson and a little bit of Busch. At least, that’s what Yung Money said looking back.
“No, I hadn’t talked to him. I hadn’t talked to him. But again, on my end I have no hard feelings, I don’t know if he’s still mad at me or whatever,” Larson said. “I think, I always do a really good job at looking back at accidents that I get in and whether it be that I caused it or I didn’t cause it. I still try to pinpoint what kind of fault I had in it. Yeah, I look at that one if I didn’t barely touch his quarter panel to get to a side draft he wouldn’t have gotten upset and started running into me down the straightaway and then crowd me into [Turn] one.
“I wasn’t going into one to race him and have a dick-measuring contest. I was just trying to make it into the corner. So yeah if I didn’t touch his quarter we would have raced just fine through one. I look at it as probably more my fault there but into one I know I’m the guy that spun but I don’t feel that part was at all my fault. It’s just racing and he got frustrated and I don’t know, I’m sure he’s not too frustrated with me right now.”
Kyle Larson will do his best to move on from the wreck last week. Sonoma is another opportunity to get another great performance under his belt. It is a track that he is more than capable of winning on and should be in the hunt for the pole award.
