One of the nation’s premier offensive tackles was in College Station this weekend.

Lewisville (Texas) five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi began his official visit to Texas A&M on Thursday, and the 6-foot-5, 299-pounder posted photos on Saturday in maroon and white.

Fasusi kicked off his official visit schedule with a trip to Missouri last weekend. Still upcoming, he will see Oklahoma next week and follow up with Oregon (June 18) and Texas (June 21).

“My number one decision is development, but at the same time you can get developed at a lot of places,” Fasusi told On3 in May. “I could go into any college and they could coach me to go to the league. So it’s just finding the right community, the right environment for me.”

The Aggies have done a terrific job making up ground in Fasusi’s recruitment this spring. He’s made multiple trips to see Mike Elko and the new staff in College Station and enjoys the time he’s spent around them thus far.

“They moved up a lot. They really went from me kind of pushing them to the side with the old coaching staff — Coach Elko bringing his new coaching staff, they really stepped up a lot. They’re up there. I just believe in what Coach Elko brings to the table,” Fasusi said last month.

“Him being a down-to-earth guy, a great guy, probably one of the best head coaches I’ve ever talked to. Coach (Adam Cushing) comes in there too, he’s really passionate about the sport. Whatever he has to do he’s going to make sure he does it for you, just because he wants to see you succeed.”

Michael Fasusi Recruit Profile

Michael Fasusi is the nation’s No. 12 overall prospect, No. 3 offensive tackle and No. 5 recruit from Texas in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this about him as a prospect.

“Strong, physical offensive tackle with a high developmental upside. Measured in at around 6-foot-5 and close to 300 pounds prior to his junior season. Added significant size during the off-season between his sophomore and junior years. Has plus length for the position and a well-proportioned build. Registers as a solid athlete in the combine setting. Also showing encouraging improvement on the field as a junior, adding play strength. Latches onto defensive linemen and keeps his feet moving on contact. Gets a considerable push at the point of attack.

Plays with an edge and works to finish blocks with authority. Shows good lateral quickness and plays with an improved base and balance. Also participates in track and field, sporting a personal best throw of 46-10 feet in the shot put as a sophomore, a strong mark. Needs to work on his pass set technique but has the baseline skills to be a solid pass protector with coaching and work. Younger for the cycle, turning 17 years old in the summer prior to his senior season.”
