4-star DL Trajen Odom names top six schools

Matthews (N.C.) Weddington four-star defensive lineman Trajen Odom has seen his recruitment skyrocket this year. After a busy spring, the blue-chipper is closing in on a commitment — and he now has his finalists.

Odom tells On3 that he is down to USC, Ohio State, Oregon, Colorado, Georgia and UCLA.

He took an official visit to UCLA back in May and heads to Ohio State for his OV this weekend. Oregon (June 14) and USC (June 21) are also in line to get Odom back on campus for officials, and his decision could come right after.

“By the time I finish my USC visit on the 23rd, I plan on committing a few days later, around the 25-28th,” Odom said.

“The most important thing to me is feeling at home. Development is great and I want to win, but having that home feeling in the environment and around the people will be the biggest thing in my decision,” he told On3 last month.

Odom is the No. 296 overall prospect and No. 23 DL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 ranks him much higher than other recruiting services, as he checks in at No. 138 overall and is the No. 13 DL in the 2025 On300.
