A new Russian ship has been spotted in the port of Mariupol. This is likely the second Russian vessel to arrive since the beginning of 2024, according to the statement of Mariupol Mayor's advisor Petro Andriushchenko.

"In the port of Mariupol, another marauder has arrived with a cargo. It docked for loading for two days," he said.

According to the mayor's advisor, he was at the dock during the loading of bulk cargo.

"You can see kaolin and ore. No grain at all. However, they will report on grain. Why? We'll see," Andriushchenko concluded.

Situation in Mariupol

Russian occupiers seized Mariupol in February 2022 during Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine. They transformed the port into a military base.

Additionally, ships often dock here, from which invaders transport stolen food, including grain, from the occupied territories of Ukraine.

In March, a Russian ship was also spotted in the temporarily occupied port of Mariupol. This was the first vessel to enter the city's port since the beginning of 2024.
