The Akhtubinsk airfield is located 589 kilometers from the front line.

The Su-57 is Moscow's most advanced fighter jet, which can use Kh-59 and Kh-69 missiles for strikes, the Ukrainian military intelligence said.

The Russian Aerospace Forces have "a few units of these combat aircraft in service."

"The engagement of the Su-57 is the first such case in history," the intelligence officers stated.

Russian Su-57 fighter jet and strikes on Ukrainian territory

Russia launched a missile from a Su-57 fighter jet in the direction of Kryvyi Rih on April 25. The head of the military administration of Kryvyi Rih, Oleksandr Vilkul, said that on the afternoon of April 25, an enemy cruise missile was shot down in the Kryvyi Rih district, but there were also hits in the district.

Illya Yevlash, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, said that the Russians are trying to keep the Su-57 fighter as far away as possible during attacks on Ukrainian cities, as it could be hit by air defense forces.

The Su-57 is Russia's most advanced fifth-generation fighter jet, which Russia has rarely used in Ukraine so far because of its value and small numbers.

The Su-57 is the main carrier of the Kh-69 missiles, one of the newest cruise missiles in Russia's inventory, which are similar in their characteristics and purpose to British-French Storm Shadow/SCALP and German Taurus missiles.

It is likely that the Russians used the Kh-69 to strike the Trypillia Thermal Power Plant in Kyiv Oblast.
