Real Madrid wonderkid Endrick raves about £6m Arsenal player after seeing what he did

Real Madrid and Brazil youngster Endrick seems to be really impressed with one Arsenal player.

The teenager is one of the most talented young players in world football. He was a wanted man at Palmeiras and Arsenal were even linked with a move to sign Endrick.

However, Real Madrid beat everyone else in the race to sign him, and he is now thriving on the international stage for his country.

Now, Endrick has heaped praise on one Arsenal player after what happened on Saturday night.

Endrick sends message to Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli

Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli started for Brazil in their game against Mexico on Saturday night.

The South American giants were playing their penultimate warm-up game before the start of their Copa America campaign later this summer.

Brazil boss Dorival Junior made a lot of changes to his side and gave Martinelli a start on the left wing.

The 22-year-old wasn’t as effective as he would’ve liked to be because very few of Brazil’s attacks came from the left side of the pitch.

However, Martinelli still managed to score for Brazil to help them go 2-0 up after 54 minutes.

Then, after Martinelli was substituted, Dorival’s side suffered a bit of a collapse. They conceded two goals and it looked like Mexico were going to hold them to a draw.

That’s when Endrick stepped up and showed the world why he is regarded by many as the best teenager in world football right now.

The Real Madrid wonderkid scored in the 96th minute of the game to help Brazil pick up a 3-2 win.

After the game, when Martinelli took to Instagram to celebrate his goal and the win, Endrick sent him a lovely message.

“Tu joga muitoooo,” he wrote, which effectively translates to: “You’re a really good player!”

Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes replied: “You are mad brother!”

Mikel Arteta needs to make one change to help Martinelli

Arsenal signed Martinelli for just £6 million from Ituano in the summer of 2019.

The Brazilian has developed into one of the best wingers in the Premier League since, but he had a difficult campaign in the 2023/24 season, where he scored just eight goals.

Martinelli was instructed to hug the touchline for large parts of the game by Mikel Arteta, and that did no favours to the 22-year-old, who was almost always far away from goal.

For Brazil, the Arsenal number 11 looked dangerous when he drifted to a more central role and he even scored his goal from a centre-forward’s position.

Arsenal fans have since urged Arteta to use Martinelli through the middle, and we agree with that opinion. Even if he starts out wide, he should be given the freedom to attack more centrally.

That is one change Arteta has to make next season to get the better of Martinelli.
