'Excellent' manager has told Man United he can fix Jadon Sancho and Mason Mount problems - journalist

With Erik ten Hag’s future at Manchester United set to be solved imminently, one candidate to replace the Dutchman has now explained plans to reintegrate Jadon Sancho.

Man United’s end of season review is now nearing conclusion, and Ten Hag’s future is thought to be very 50/50 right now.

In truth, United fans will just want a definite decision now, an end to a saga that has been far too public.

Should Ten Hag stay, then this whole process will surely have a negative bearing on the start of next season anyway, given any decision will have been in the balance for so long.

That being said, there could be an opportunity for another manager to come in and profit from the situation – which is the preference of some United fans.

Right now, if Ten Hag does go, Mauricio Pochettino, Thomas Tuchel, Gareth Southgate and Roberto De Zerbi appear to be in the running.

All very different managers with opposing ideas in some cases, but ones who could potentially inspire new success.

And with that in mind, journalist Christian Falk has just shared an illuminating update about a recent meeting between Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Tuchel.

Thomas Tuchel tells Sir Jim Ratcliffe he could revive Jadon Sancho and Mason Mount

Sharing his update on X on Sunday, Falk said that the pair met in Monaco last Tuesday about the potentially vacant position.

And interestingly, as part of his pitch, ‘excellent’ Tuchel who is pushing for the United job, outlined his plans to revive the fortunes of both Jadon Sancho and Mason Mount at Old Trafford.

Falk shared: “There was a meeting in Monaco last Tuesday between Thomas Tuchel and the new Manchester United shareholder Jim Ratcliffe

“Tuchel revealed his plans if he were to take over the coaching position in the event of Erik ten Hag being fired.

“Tuchel is said to have explained to the United co-owner how he could get United’s sporting problems like Sancho and Mason Mount back on track.

“Tuchel mentioned Antonio Rudiger as [an] example that he had already succeeded in the past in getting Players with great potential back to top performance.”

It’s certainly an interesting pitch for those at Manchester United to consider, particularly in Sancho’s case.

Perhaps Mount will improve regardless of Ten Hag’s departure or Tuchel’s arrival, a player who should be better settled when he properly returns from injury in pre-season.

But given what an asset Sancho could be at Old Trafford, hiring a manager to reintegrate him into plans could be a wise move – especially with no certainty of how much the club can recoup for the winger this summer anyway.
