Report: Manchester United could still try to sign 'incredible' £50m player; he's open to Premier League move

Manchester United are looking towards a busy summer and could yet make a move for a player who has been linked with the club previously.

The Red Devils are a few months into the Jim Ratcliffe era and while the focus so far has been on operations inside Old Trafford, attention will soon turn to what happens on the pitch.

So far, a number of names have been loosely linked with moves to United without any real movement.

The likes ofJoao Neves, Max Kilman and Benjamin Sesko are all among the players linked with moves to Old Trafford in the last week alone.

And now, it looks like another player from across Europe is being discussed at United again.

Manchester United could make a fresh move for Jean-Clair Todibo

According to a report fromL’Equipe, Todibo is a man in-demand coming into the summer again.

The report states that the likes of Aston Villa and Napoli are keen on Tobibo.

However, it is also suggested that Manchester United could decide to reignite their long-standing interest in the French defender.

Indeed, back in January, it was suggested Todibo was very much a target for United.

Of course, there is a direct link for United when it comes to landing Todibo, given he currently plays his football with another Ratcliffe owned club, Nice.

It’s previously been reported that Nice would look for around £52m to sell Todibo. However, whether fee stays the same going into this summer, remains to be seen.

Todibo an unsurprising name for United

Given the links have been around for some time already, there is no surprise here that Todibo is once again being linked with a move to Old Trafford.

On paper, it looks like a deal that can be done relatively easy, given those Nice and United links.

Lauded as an ‘incredible‘ defender in the past, Todibo is thought to be more than open to a move to the Premier League this summer.

Whether or not it will be United, or another of the interested clubs who land Todibo, remains to be seen.
