Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of June 9

Since the beginning of the day, 62 Russian attacks have already taken place along the entire frontline. Russians are trying to advance most actively in the Pokrovsk sector, but Ukrainian troops are holding the line, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Kupiansk direction, the occupants became more active in the areas of Pishchane and Nevske. Russians tried to improve their positions 9 times today.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked in the vicinity of Hrekivka. In total, the aggressor tried to attack here six times since the beginning of the day. The enemy attacked with guided aerial bombs in the areas of Serebryansky forest, Novosadove, Novoyehorivka, and Petropavlivka.

Nine firefights took place in the Kramatorsk direction during the day. Fighting continues in the vicinity of Kalynivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy is the most active. There were 23 clashes of varying intensity in the sector over the last day. Fighting is currently ongoing in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Novoselivka Persha, and Novopokrovske.

Russian aviation was firing at Skuchne, Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, and Ivanivka with anti-aircraft gunships throughout the day. Currently, five attempts by Russian militants to improve their positions are still ongoing.

In other areas, the situation has not changed significantly. The defense forces continue to repel the enemy and inflict maximum losses along the entire front line, the General Staff emphasized.

Over the past day, the Russians lost more than 1,200 soldiers at the front, and the enemy's total losses have already reached 518,560.
