Kentucky gymnastics star Raena Worley just wrapped up her senior season at Kentucky, capping off what was an incredible career in Lexington. This season, Worley became the first ‘Cat to be a finalist for the Honda Award for since Jenny Hansen (1993-1995).

However, the 13-time All-American won’t be leaving town as she has been named as an assistant coach for the UK gymnastics team.

Worley’s legendary career at Kentucky has earned her a chance to help coach the team she led for the better part of four years. In a post responding to the news, she said, “Beyond excited!!! Go cats always.”

As a freshman, she was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team while being dubbed SEC Freshman of the Week twice. She competed in every meet in 2020, finishing first place on the floor three times.

Additionally, she scored 9.900 or better on floor six times, 9.800 or better on beam seven times, and 9.800 or better on bars five times. However, that was just the beginning of her illustrious career.

In her second season, Worley was listed as 2nd Team WCGA Regular Season All-American All-Around and All-SEC. As a junior, she would repeat those accomplishments while also representing the ‘Cats for all-around at the NCAA National Championships, placing 12th overall.

Worley tallied 20 career all-around wins in her career and 17 career individual victories on floor.

Her career would be riddled with All-American awards as she dominated every event and meet she partook in. Now, she gets to help mold future ‘Cats into All-Americans as well.
