Report: Spanish media now deliver their opinion on whether Erling Haaland could join Real Madrid

The possibility of whether Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland will sign for Real Madrid in the future has been detailed.

It was reported in February that those close to Haaland have “laughed off” the reports stating that he will head to the Spanish capital.

In January, it was claimed that Manchester City are not concerned about the speculation surrounding the Norwegian potentially joining Los Blancos; backing themselves to keep him on their books.

Spanish media details whether Haaland will sign for Real Madrid

The 24-year-old’s deal at the Etihad Stadium runs out in 2027 and on Sunday, it was claimed that City now consider his contract extension a major priority.

When it comes to megastars like the Leeds-born strike, the worry remains that they will wish to test themselves elsewhere one day and further extend their brand.

It is quite rare, like in Wayne Rooney’s case where he made his big move to Manchester United at a young age and did not go on to sign for another European juggernaut.

As per a report by SPORT, Erling Haaland has indicated several times to Real Madrid recently that his desire remains to play for them one day.

But the report states that if Endrick lives up to the billing in a team which already has Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, La Liga’s heavyweights will not consider the two-time Premier League winner a priority signing.

It was also claimed that the treble-winner would cost Real Madrid a whopping €150 million (£126.9 million) by the time his contract expires at City.

If Endrick performs, Man City could be delighted

In our view, if Endrick were to take Spanish football by storm, Manchester City would be delighted as it seems like that would decrease the chance of Real Madrid trying to sign Erling Haaland.

The Brazilian international is a natural number nine.

As a result, if Endrick proves that he is well and truly a special talent, Real Madrid may no longer even consider Erling Haaland as a transfer target if he is available.

The longer City can keep Haaland, the happier they will be as having a goalscorer like him gives them the edge over most teams in Europe. With that in mind, how Endrick performs could benefit the English giants massively.
