Southern Defense Forces' Strategic Communications Center denies information on Russian ship hit in Azov Sea

The information that on June 8, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit a Russian amphibious assault ship in the waters of the Azov Sea is not true, according to the head of the Center for Strategic Communications of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Pletenchuk.

“Unfortunately, as of now, this is news from the future, and it will definitely happen,” Pletenchuk said.

According to him, there are currently three large amphibious assault ships and three small Buyan-M missile ships in the Azov Sea.

"But the information about one of them being hit is not yet true," the spokesperson added.

What preceded it

On June 8, information appeared online that one of the Russian ships had probably been attacked in the Azov Sea.

Later, Sky News reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had successfully attacked a Russian Ropucha amphibious assault ship in the waters of the Azov Sea.
