President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Germany to participate in the Ukraine Recovery Conference. During his visit, he will hold talks with Chancellor Olaf Scholz and German leaders, according to the head of state's Telegram channel.

The conference will bring together governments, ten of which are at the level of prime ministers, as well as companies and organizations to assist Ukraine.

"In the face of Russian aerial terror, urgent decisions for the Ukrainian energy sector will be our top priority," the president said.

Zelenskyy added that he will discuss further defense support, the development of the Ukrainian air defense system, and joint production of arms with Olaf Scholz.

"We will coordinate positions ahead of the Peace Summit, the European Council summit, and the NATO summit," the head of state said.

In addition, Zelenskyy will meet with the President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and the President of the Bundestag Bärbel Bas and visit a military base where Ukrainian troops are trained.

Germany's cooperation with Ukraine

From the first weeks of the full-scale invasion, Germany has been actively assisting Ukraine with military and humanitarian aid.

Recently, Germany called for the creation of a special fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Earlier, the German government allowed the Armed Forces of Ukraine to strike at Russian territory to protect Kharkiv and the region.
