Arsenal and Chelsea await Benjamin Sesko transfer decision

Arsenal and Chelsea are in a heated battle to land RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko in the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old forward has impressed in his debut campaign in the Bundesliga, drawing comparisons to Manchester City star Erling Haaland.

That has led to Arsenal being linked with a transfer switch for Sesko, as the club looks to bolster their ranks at centre-forward.

With interest from Chelsea and potentially elsewhere, there is a nervous wait to see how the battle plays out.

Well according to GiveMeSport, the conclusion could come quickly as the striker looks to make his decision before the start of the European Championships.

Sesko will feature for Slovenia in the tournament, which gets kickstarted on Friday, meaning a deadline could be set for answers regarding his future.

Aaron Ramsdale price tag stops Newcastle transfer

Arsenal’s price tag for Aaron Ramsdale has been described as too expensive for Newcastle to pursue a deal this summer.

The England international has been heavily linked with an exit from the Emirates Stadium, following a campaign where he dropped down the pecking order.

That has led to some transfer speculation, not least with Newcastle, who are looking to upgrade their own options in goal.

A move for Ramsdale has been deemed too expensive though, with Burnley’s James Trafford on their radar instead.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, as part of his Daily Briefing, who claimed that financial restraints have stopped the Magpies from landing the goalkeeper.

Arsenal transfer target Wojciech Szczesny talks

Arsenal are preparing for a summer of change between the sticks, with a permanent signing of David Raya set to trigger some possible exits.

Aaron Ramsdale is expected to leave the Gunners in the coming weeks, while Karl Hein is in talks over a contract before he becomes a free agent.

Should those exits go through, then Mikel Arteta will have to look towards adding another goalkeeper to his squad.

One of those linked with a return to Arsenal is former shot-stopper Wojciech Szczesny, who looks set to leave Juventus this summer.

While a move to the Emirates Stadium may come as a shock possibility, talks have begun elsewhere over a deal.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr have opened discussions to land the Polish star.

It remains to be seen if Arsenal will match that to help add to their own goalkeeper places.
