Arsenal could now sign ideal Aaron Ramsdale replacement for just £5m after transfer revelation

Arsenal could now be in the clear to sign the ideal replacement for Aaron Ramsdale this summer for just £5m after a brewing transfer revelation.

The England international is highly expected to leave north London this summer, with reports suggesting that Arsenal are looking to sell Ramsdale for as much as £50m despite hardly playing this season for the Gunners.

The signing of David Raya saw the 26-year-old lose his starting spot under Mikel Arteta, and with Ramsdale now seeking a move away from the Emirates Stadium, a replacement has to be signed if Arsenal are to have a quality no. 2.

And a dream option could now be on the market for just £5m.

Wojciech Szczesny available for £5m as Arsenal eye former goalkeeper

Reports this week have suggested that Juventus are willing to sell Wojciech Szczesny for as little as €6m (£5m), with the Polish international ready to move on from the Serie A giants after nearly seven years as their starting keeper.

With Szczesny rumoured with a return to Arsenal, this update could be huge in the Gunners launching their own move to sign the 34-year-old, who would count as a homegrown player given his time in north London.

Although interest from Saudi Arabia could be a problem, Szczesny returning to Arsenal could be too romantic an idea for the former AS Roma star to pass up on, especially with Arteta one of the goalkeeper’s former teammates.

Indeed, if Arsenal act quick enough, they could wrap up a deal to sign Szczesny ahead of rival teams, with the Juventus man the dream replacement for Ramsdale this summer if the England star can be moved on.

Szczesny should be pushing for Premier League return with the Gunners

Szczesny is set for what might be the last big move of his career, and whilst joining the Saudi Pro League money train is an option, a return to Arsenal could be one of the stories of the summer this transfer market.

The Polish international is a beloved figure in north London and could be a real competitor for Raya for the starting spot next season, with Szczesny still one of the best goalkeepers in world football.

Moreover, with Arsenal likely to challenge again for the Premier League title, Szczesny will want to be part of his boyhood club potentially winning the league, with the 34-year-old a figure who will get the best out of his teammates.
