Angry West Ham star Mohammed Kudus hits out on social media

Angry West Ham star Mohammed Kudus has hit out on social media after criticism and the Hammers star boy wasn’t holding back.

Mohammed Kudus has been nothing short of a revelation since signing for West Ham.

Technical director Tim Steidten lived up to his big billing by landing Kudus for a bargain £38m from Ajax.

West Ham’s place in the football food chain dictates that whenever the club has a special player on their hands, they tend to be linked with moves away.

It has always been thus for West Ham.

So it has been no surprise – but no less frustrating – to see Kudus already being linked with a move away from the club.

From time to time a player comes along who is so good that it stings that little bit more when they do leave.

Kudus the West Ham star boy

West Ham genuinely have one of the top players in world football on their hands. And how Steidten got him for just £38m ahead of top European clubs is anyone’s guess.

It has been confirmed that Kudus, like Paqueta and many top players at non elite clubs, does indeed have a release clause.

The clause is said to be £85m like Paqueta. But, crucially, it is not active until next summer.

Although that has not stopped speculation that a club will come in and bid over £100m for him this summer with the likes of Liverpool linked.

West Ham fans certainly appreciate Kudus.

And they were delighted when he appeared to suggest he will be staying with the Hammers next season in an interview at the end of last season.

Kudus clearly appreciates West Ham fans too – judging by his praise of the Hammers faithful recently.

The same cannot be said for the other fans in Kudus’ life, though, it seems.

Angry Kudus hits out on social media

Because angry West Ham star Kudus has hit out on social media after criticism.

Kudus was in action for Ghana last night in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against Central African Republic.

Ghana were dumped out of the African Nations back in January despite the heroics of Kudus.

Ghana scraped a 4-3 win over CAR on Monday night but Kudus’ performance was criticised by some of the country’s fans on social media.

Some supporters stated that the West Ham star is overhyped and was not playing like he did for the Hammers.

That has clearly incensed Kudus who has responded to some of the posts by biting back on X.

Responding to one fan who told Kudus the hype was going to his head, the Hammers ace responded: “Nobody dey beg you for hype! Shawn dey fool.”

‘Sometimes you need to tell them’

Other fans urged Kudus not to rise to the bait but he explained: “Sometimes you need to tell them bro… they sit behind keyboards and be doing dumb stuff.”

Another supporter then goaded Kudus saying ‘someone needs to talk to him’.

To which Kudus bit back: “Come and talk to me yourself” before telling another to shutup.

Playing for Ghana means a lot to Kudus.

That was evident when he rushed himself back from injury to ensure he played some part in their African Nations campaign.

When you reach the elite level, unfortunately you are there to be shot at.

And it seems Kudus is now seeing that first hand.

One thing is for certain, he will certainly find plenty of love among West Ham fans – many of whom have been supporting him on social media in the face of the criticism.
