Report: Leeds United star could be about to team up with James Milner this summer

Leeds United are expected to sell a number of players this summer and one key star could be about to team up with James Milner at Brighton in the coming weeks and months.

The 49ers and Paraag Marathe have already admitted that the club will need to cash in on a number of key players after The Whites failed to gain promotion, losing 1-0 to Southampton in the play-off final.

The likes of Willy Gnonto, Archie Gray and Ilia Gruev are all attracting interest from top-tier clubs ahead of the summer window, but the likeliest player to leave and bring in some cash is Crysencio Summerville.

A whole host of Premier League clubs are interested in signing The Dutch winger. Liverpool and Chelsea are being strongly linked, with Fabrizio Romano claiming both have been scouting him for a long time.

West Ham, Fulham and Bournemouth have also been linked while Newcastle have discussed a move to sign him. Crystal Palace could go in for Summerville, if Eberechi Eze or Michael Olise leave The Eagles.

Crysencio Summerville could now team up with James Milner

Now, another club have thrown their name into the hat for the signing of Summerville. TeamTalk claim Brighton want to land the former Feyenoord star and are confident of doing a deal for the Leeds ace.

The Seagulls are confident of doing a deal because they feel they can offer Summerville a pathway into the first team when others can’t. Brighton have been admirers of Summerville for a while apparently.

Indeed, a move to the south coast would see Summerville team up with a Leeds icon in the form of Milner. The 38-year-old Leeds academy product has just signed a new one-year deal with Brighton.

Which club is Summerville’s best move this summer?

His exit from Leeds is inevitable this summer, so Summerville has a big choice to make. Which Premier League club does the pocket-sized wide man join – does he go big, or does he go for game time?

The reason Summerville has starred during 2023-24 is that he has been made first choice, a big fish in still a very large pond. He needs to remember that when picking his next team, one that makes him no.1.

Liverpool and Chelsea have too much competition out wide. Newcastle have Harvey Barnes and Anthony Gordon, while Brighton have Kaoru Mitoma and Palace bost the likes of Eze and Olise in the final third.

His best move though could be among the likes of West Ham, Fulham or Bournemouth. Clubs where he would go and be first choice, who need a left-sided attacker like Summerville this summer.
