Watch as Cambridge drug dealer snared by officers

A drug dealer has landed himself a prison sentence after being snared by officers in Cambridge.

Police from the neighbourhood support team were on patrol on 20 January when they spotted Arlind Pecmarkaj carrying out a suspected drug deal in Milford Street.

The 19-year-old ran off and threw a black bag containing cocaine along the way. Following a short foot chase he was stopped and arrested.

The drugs were recovered, and further cocaine was found in his hoody worth £2,000 along with £120 in cash.

Pecmarkaj, of North Circular Road, London, was sentenced to three years in prison at Peterborough Crown Court on Monday (10 June) after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine.

PC Nicola Pike, from the neighbourhood support team, said: “Officers acted on their instincts and as a result, another drug dealer has been removed from our community.

“Drugs bring misery and violence to our communities and we will continue to put those responsible before the courts.”
