Bukayo Saka names which Arsenal figure has taken his game 'to the next level'

Bukayo Saka has named which figure at Arsenal has helped him the most in taking his game ‘to the next level’ over the years.

The England international has been nothing short of specular this season for the Gunners, with Saka enjoying his best-ever season in terms of goals scored and assists made, scoring 20 and creating 14 in all competitions.

Breaking an Arsenal record held by Ian Wright, Saka’s form has hit new heights this year with the 22-year-old firmly establishing himself as one of the best attackers in the world and a talisman for England this summer at the Euros.

And the forward has now named which Arsenal figure has helped him reach this level.

Saka praises Mikel Arteta impact for impact in becoming Arsenal star

Speaking to the Premier League’s official YouTube channel, the Hale End academy graduate named Mikel Arteta as the Arsenal figure who has helped Saka reach his current level throughout the years.

The Basque coach has been influential in Saka’s development with Arteta adding many parts to the winger’s game that have now all culminated into the 22-year-old being one of the best in the world.

And for Saka, there are still many things that the forward could unlock in his skillset that could take his game even further, with the Arsenal star far from maxing out his incredible potential just yet.

Saka said: “I love working with him, I believe he’s given us so many opportunities, all of us, not just me. He gives us so much information and advice on how we can improve and develop our game to the next level.

Arteta can get even more out of Saka next season

Arteta and Saka are a match made in heaven, with the former Arsenal captain the ideal manager to get the best out of the 22-year-old attacker and to push him to his limit both on and off the pitch.

And the crazy thing about this player/manager dynamic is that Saka could become even better if Arteta continues to push his star forward, especially after the season the youngster just had.

Given Saka’s age and the direction Arsenal are heading in, it wouldn’t be a shock if the England international went one further next year in his goalscoring output, with the winger only getting starter.
