Report: Aston Villa decide the two Juventus players they want in swap deal for Douglas Luiz

Aston Villa have decided on the two Juventus players they want in a swap deal for midfielder Douglas Luiz, according to a recent report.

Unai Emery and Monchi will be hard at work plotting their transfer business ahead of the fast-approaching summer window.

With Champions League football on the horizon, the former Arsenal boss will be keen to add depth to his ranks.

That said, they’ll also need to trade and move on players to stay in line with Financial Fair Play regulations.

Such is why Douglas Luiz looks likely to depart and it has just emerged what conditions Villa will demand for his signature ahead of the summer transfer window.

Aston Villa want Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior plus cash

According to Sky Italy, Aston Villa have demanded Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior plus £16.8m to sanction the sale of Douglas Luiz.

It’s thought that the Italian club are working on reducing the fee but seem happy to offload the aforementioned pair plus some cash.

The report further notes that the deal is edging closer and it appears as though the two players are of interest to Emery.

Profiles of Weston Mckennie and Samuel Iling-Junior

So, if the deal is to materialise, here is a rundown of McKennie and Iling-Junior.

McKennie is a number eight by trade and evidently has an eye for a pass, laying on 10 assists last year for the Turin titans.

Meanwhile, Iling-Junior, who turned 20 in October, isn’t yet the polished article and would likely join as a backup for Morgan Rogers.

The left winger is an England under-21 international.
