John Kirby added that during the G7 summit, the US will demonstrate a clear commitment to Ukraine. According to him, bold steps will be taken to show Putin that time is not on his side and he will not be able to wait out US support for Ukraine's struggle for freedom.

Additionally, new steps will be announced at the summit regarding the frozen sovereign assets of Russia and their redirection to benefit Ukraine.

Ukraine will sign bilateral security agreements with Japan and the US at one of the upcoming meetings. The press secretary of the President of Ukraine Serhii Nykyforov did not disclose details about the agreements or where they will be signed, but he noted that this will happen very soon.
