Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of June 12

Since the beginning of the day, June 12, 60 combat engagements took place in the frontline. The enemy is most active in the Pokrovsk and Siversk directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Situation at front

In the Kharkiv direction, firefights continue in the areas of Vovchansk and Tykhe.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces attacked five times, two attacks were in the areas of Petropavlivka and Pishchane. They are still ongoing.

In the Siversk direction, half of the 12 enemy attacks were repelled. Fighting is currently ongoing in the areas of Spirne and Rozdolivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, six firefights have already taken place, one of which is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces are advancing in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Novopokrovsk, Novoselivka Persha, and Kalynove. Seven firefights are currently underway.

“In total, the number of enemy attempts to improve their positions in the direction has reached 20. Our defenders are bravely holding back the occupants and inflicting significant losses on them,” the General Staff added.

In the Vremivka direction, Russian assault actions continue in the vicinity of Urozhaine.

“The situation in the rest of the directions remains unchanged,” the General Staff noted.

Russia's losses in the war

Over the past day, June 11, the Defense Forces killed 980 Russian soldiers. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost about 521,830 soldiers.

Also last night, on June 12, Ukrainian soldiers launched a group missile strike against enemy S-300 and S-400 anti-aircraft missile divisions in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
