Arsenal fans blown away by what Kai Havertz did in Germany training ahead of Euro 2024 opener

Arsenal supporters have been blown away by one thing Kai Havertz recently did whilst training with the Germany squad.

Kai Havertz shone for Arsenal in the second half of last season.

The German had a tough start to life at the Emirates Stadium. After the Gunners paid big money to prise him away from Chelsea, Havertz was described as the worst signing of the summer by many agents in the game.

He certainly looked bereft of confidence when he first came to North London. Havertz was not helped by Mikel Arteta’s attempts to reinvent him as a midfielder, either.

How Kai Havertz rediscovered his spark at Arsenal

However, around the turn of the year, the 25-year-old was given the opportunity to spearhead the Gunners’ attack and he has not looked back since. He was in blistering form over the course of the run-in, fuelling his side’s Premier League title charge. Havertz ended the campaign with his best ever return of goals and assists in English football. Across all competitions, he racked up 14 goals and 7 assists, with 9 of his Premier League goals coming after mid-February.

Havertz has made the No. 9 position at Arsenal his own, and will surely be Arteta’s first-choice striker when the new domestic campaign kicks off. Although Arsenal are in the market for a new goalscorer, that starting berth is the former Chelsea man’s to lose.

Havertz now looks to be full of confidence and has clearly carried that to his international camp. The 46-cap Germany international is expected to lead the line for his country when they host this summer’s Euros tournament.

There is plenty of pressure on the attacker’s shoulders, but he looks supremely relaxed in training. In a recent video clip of a Germany training session, Havertz was seen scoring a delightful goal. As Toni Kroos delivered a low cross into the box, the Arsenal man was able to deftly guide it into the bottom corner with his trailing leg, wrong-footing the goalkeeper.

Arsenal fans wowed by Kai Havertz skill with Germany team

Many Arsenal fans saw the footage posted by DW Sports on X and were deeply impressed.

One fan said: “Confidence is a beautiful thing.”

Another stated: “All Mikel needed to give him was confidence. Though he’s learned a few more, but this Havertz has always been inside, he only needed someone to trust in his abilities, and he found Mikel. So happy I never criticized him.”

One Arsenal supporter claimed: “He needs to be starting ST next season. I’d rather get a killer LW instead of another ST.”

Another chipped in with: “All i see here is a player thats booming with confidence, hoping he does well in the euros and ready to smash next season with us.”

Germany will take on Scotland in the Euros curtain-raiser on Friday, and Havertz will be keen to begin his tournament campaign with a bang.
