President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, June 12, according to the president's Telegram channel.

According to Zelenskyy, during his visit, he met with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

"We discussed the bilateral relations between Ukraine and Saudi Arabia, noted the good dynamics of implementing our previous agreements, and the effective cooperation of our teams. We will continue this," Zelenskyy wrote.

He also mentioned that the preparation for the first Global Peace Summit, which will take place in Switzerland, was discussed.

"We exchanged views on the international situation and the prospects for its development. Ukraine is grateful to Saudi Arabia for its support. We appreciate His Highness's efforts to help restore peace more quickly," the president said.

It is worth noting that earlier, media reports stated that Saudi Arabia does not plan to participate in the Peace Summit, which will be held in Switzerland this weekend.

Peace Summit

The event will take place on June 15-16 in Switzerland and will be dedicated to discussing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's peace formula.

Russia is attempting to hinder the Summit by discouraging its allied countries from participating. Russia was not invited to the Summit, but it is expected to have the opportunity to participate in the conference summarizing the Summit.

Around 90 countries have confirmed their participation, although some delegations will not be represented at the highest level.
