Arsenal fans all saying the same thing about Martin Odegaard after latest footage emerges

Arsenal supporters have been blown away by something Martin Odegaard just did whilst representing Norway.

Martin Odegaard has carried his impressive Arsenal form onto the international stage.

The 25-year-old playmaker was in blistering form for Arsenal last season. The Gunners’ club captain is the team’s creative hub and a tactical leader on the pitch. He is as valuable to Mikel Arteta for what he can do off the ball as well as on it.

When the North London side are out of position, the former Real Madrid man typically leads the press, encouraging his teammates to defend on the front foot. He is tireless and relentless in his efforts to win the ball back.

Odegaard has been described as a perfect Arsenal captain due to his work rate. However, it is when he is on the ball in the final third that the midfielder truly comes alive and shows his quality, as he has just done whilst playing for Norway.

As Norway took on Denmark recently, Odegaard was able to provide a masterful assist for his compatriot and Manchester City star Erling Haaland.

Arsenal fans astonished by Martin Odegaard assist

Arsenal supporters were quick to praise Odegaard after seeing this footage. It will certainly be an enormous shame if he doesn’t get the chance to star in a major international tournament at some stage in his career.

One fan said: “People should know by now that it’s no more fluke Martin Ødegaard the pass master.”

Another stated: “He’s getting more classier day by day.”

One Arsenal fan called Odegaard: “Best attacking midfielder in the world right now.”

Another claimed: “Arsenal should look at this and think, let’s by a real No.9, Ødegaard can play those balls and Havertz is alright but with a real No.9 Ødegaard could play that pass every game and it will always be a goal.”

Does Mikel Arteta need to sign a striker for Odegaard to work with?

Odegaard is a remarkable creative force. Very few current Premier League players can rival his ability to carve through opposition defences. However, this talent is wasted without a player on the receiving end of his deliveries who can reliably score.

This has been an issue for Arsenal in the past. For all of Kai Havertz’s qualities as a centre-forward, he is not the most clinical finisher. Bringing a truly ruthless goalscorer to the Emirates Stadium would help Odegaard to reach another level.

Having missed out on Benjamin Sesko, signing a striker is no longer Arsenal’s top priority this summer, but perhaps it should be. Meanwhile, it is a shame that Odegaard will not have the chance to strut his stuff at EURO 2024.
