"Since the beginning of this day, 37 combat engagements have already taken place. The Russian invaders carried out 12 airstrikes using 17 combat aircraft, fired more than 580 times at the positions of our troops and settlements," the General Staff writes.
Situation on frontlines
In the Kharkiv sector, the Russians tried to attack twice in the areas of Hlyboke and Tykhe.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russia tried to storm Stelmakhivka once. Fighting is currently ongoing near Synkivka and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled a Russian attack near Hrekivka.
In the Siversk sector, Russians tried to storm the defensive lines near Verkhniokamianske.
In the Kramatorsk sector, 5 combat engagements took place. 3 Russian attacks were quickly repelled in the area of Andriivka. 2 combat engagements continue near Ivanivske. The situation is tense.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russians have already made 8 attempts to attack the positions of Ukrainian defenders. 6 Russian attacks near Novoselivka Persha and Novooleksandrivka were repelled. Fighting continues near Kalynove.
The Kurakhove sector saw the highest number of engagements. Russians have stepped up their efforts and are trying to break through Ukrainian defenses in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Paraskoviivka. 5 Russian attacks were repelled, and 7 more are ongoing.
In the Orikhiv sector, Russia tried twice to force Ukrainian troops out of their positions near Mala Tokmachka. The battle continues.
Russia's losses in war against Ukraine
Over the past day, June 12, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 980 Russian troops. Since the beginning of the war, Russia has lost about 522,810 soldiers.
