'I wish' - Jadon Sancho immediately reacts and sends message after Edin Terzic's Borussia Dortmund decision

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has made his feelings clear after Edin Terzic made the surprising decision to step down as Borussia Dortmund manager.

Jadon Sancho’s six-month loan spell at Borussia Dortmund culminated with the German side’s 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final at Wembley.

The 24-year-old Manchester United misfit is set to return to Old Trafford this month, with Sancho’s Dortmund deal set to expire on 30th June.

However, Sancho’s long-term future remains unclear after his falling out with United manager Erik ten Hag in 2023.

The former Dortmund star, who is under contract until 2026, managed only three appearances for United last season before he was frozen out of the first team.

Sancho publicly hit out on social media after Erik ten Hag revealed why the United player failed to make his squad for the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal last September.

Sancho, who reportedly refused to apologise to Ten Hag and was subsequently excluded from the first team, was handed a lifeline in January with his move away.

Sancho sends message to Terzic

Edin Terzic on Thursday announced that he would leave Borussia Dortmund this summer after failing to lead the club to the Champions League trophy.

The 41-year-old former Dortmund boss insisted that a “new era” should begin at the Bundesliga club with a “new man” in the Westfalenstadion dugout.

“After the game at Wembley, I asked for a meeting with the club’s senior management team, because after 10 years at BVB – including five on the coaching staff and two and a half as head coach – I feel that the club’s new era should begin with a new man on the touchline,” Terzic said in a club statement.

“Everyone close to me knows that this has been a very difficult decision for me to take over the last few weeks, but after intensive discussions my fundamental feeling has not changed.”

Jadon Sancho took to Instagram Stories and sent a heartfelt message to Terzic after spending the last six months under the former Dortmund manager’s tutelage.

Sancho comments on Dortmund’s Terzic post

According to The Guardian, the German media is reporting that former Dortmund star Nuri Sahin could take over as head coach at the club.

Nuri Sahin has been working under Terzic as his assistant manager ahead of the former Dortmund manager’s exit from the Westfalenstadion.

Dortmund’s official Instagram page announced Terzic’s departure in a post and confirmed his contract had been terminated with immediate effect.

“Borussia Dortmund and coach Edin Terzic go their separate ways,” reads the post.

“The 41-year-old asked the BVB to terminate his contract immediately. Borussia Dortmund responded to the request after a joint discussion.”

Sancho showed his admiration for Terzic by leaving a comment on the post, with the United player thanking him and leaving two heart emojis and a fingers crossed emoji.

“Thank you Edin,” he wrote.
