New Port Richey Police Seek Public’s Help In Identifying Bank Card Thief

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. \- The New Port Richey Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect who allegedly stole a bank card and made $20,000 in unauthorized withdrawals.

On May 17, 2024, the suspect fraudulently ordered a replacement bank card for the victim's account. Surveillance footage shows the suspect intercepting the package moments after delivery at the victim's New Port Richey home.

Four unauthorized withdrawals totaling $20,000 were made several days later from the account.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6'3" and 200 lbs. He was seen arriving at the residence in a black Volkswagen, possibly a Jetta.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the suspect's identification and arrest.

The New Port Richey Police Department is actively investigating this case and encourages anyone with information to come forward.
