17-goal striker 'convinced' Arsenal could now sign him in come-and-get-me transfer plea

One of the best strikers in Europe has reportedly issued a come-and-get-me plea after rumoured interest from Arsenal.

A centre-forward is high up on Arsenal’s transfer list for this summer, with the Gunners so far having little luck, after news this week that Benjamin Sesko will sign a new contract with RB Leipzig after being linked with the north London side.

Whilst Arsenal have been linked with other strikers, the search for a new leading man is likely to be a long one given how limited the market is this summer and how much Mikel Arteta might have to shell out to land a top option.

Yet one rumoured target could now be easier to sign than first imagined.

Arsenal-linked Victor Osimhen holding out for Premier League move

According to Il Mattino via Arena Napoli, Victor Osimhen is ‘convinced’ one of Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United will move in for him this summer, with the striker having a release clause worth €130m (£110m).

With 17 goals in all competitions for a poor Napoli side, Osimhen could be the solution to Arsenal’s striker problems if the Gunners can negotiate a deal with last year’s Serie A winners for their star attacker.

Indeed, Napoli seem content with letting Osimhen leave this summer given how much the striker will go for coupled with new manager Antonio Conte’s desire to reunite with Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku.

And with Osimhen intent on moving to the Premier League, this mindset could play into Arsenal’s arms this summer, with the Nigerian international a perfect option to lead the line for the Gunners.

Arsenal would be foolish to not move for Osimhen now

Osimhen is regarded by many as one of the best strikers in world football, and with the Napoli man now seemingly begging to be signed by a Premier League team, Arsenal would be foolish to not move in for the attacker.

Whilst Osimhen’s release clause is high, Arsenal have shown across recent transfer windows that they can be savvy when it comes to negotiating down fees, something that could happen with Napoli this summer.

Indeed, Osimhen could solve Arsenal’s centre-forward problems for years to come if a deal can be reached, and the Nigerian international would be a welcome addition in north London if the Gunners start working now to land the 25-year-old.
