Dungeness and Littlestone-on-Sea RNLI crews respond to welfare incident near Marine Parade, Folkestone

Emergency services were called to a Kent seafront this evening over concerns for someone’s welfare.

The Coastguard, police, ambulances and the RNLI responded to the incident near Marine Parade in Folkestone shortly after 6pm.

A spokesperson for the Coastguard said: “Coastguard Rescue Teams from Folkstone and Langdon Battery responded at 6.15pm.

“RNLI lifeboats were sent from Dungeness and Littlestone-on-Sea.

“Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended.”

The other emergency services involved have also been contacted for comment.

It is understood the person involved is now safe and well.
