Russia launches Kinzhal aeroballistic missile at Kyiv overnight

An explosion was heard in Kyiv. Air defense forces allegedly shot down a high-speed Russian target in the Kyiv region, according to RBC-Ukraine correspondent.

"An explosion was heard in Kyiv, probably outside the city," the report says.

Around 6 a.m., a second air raid alert was announced in Kyiv throughout Ukraine due to the takeoff of a Russian MiG-31 fighter jet.

Later, the Ukrainian Air Force reported a high-speed target moving toward the Kyiv region. The military assumed that it was a Kinzhal air defense missile.

Russian night shelling of Ukraine

On the evening of June 13, an air alert was declared in several regions of Ukraine due to the Russian launch of Shahed-type attack drones.

Later, it became known that Russian Tu-95MS strategic bombers had taken off from the Olenya airbase in the Murmansk region.

Around 3 a.m., a large-scale air alert was announced in Ukraine due to the launch of cruise missiles from Russian bombers.

Most of the missiles, as well as Shahed drones, attacked Starokostiantyniv, Khmelnytskyi region.
