In the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation, drones attacked an oil depot and seriously damaged fuel tanks, according to the governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev.
He said an attempt was made to attack the oil depot with unmanned aerial vehicles from an ultra-low altitude in the Liski district of Voronezh region.
"According to preliminary information, several UAVs slightly damaged fuel tanks. The fire was prevented. No one was injured. All operational services are currently working at the site. Liquidation of the accident consequences is ongoing. Damage to the facility is being clarified," Gusev wrote.
Residents reported six explosions and powerful blast waves.
Attacks on Russian territory
On the night of June 14, explosions and a fire broke out in Morozovsk, Rostov region. Some residents lost power in their homes. The city has a military airfield where Su-34, Su-24, and Su-24M fighters are based.
The night before, a large-scale fire broke out in Moscow in the Sukhoi Research and Design Bureau (OKB Sukhoi) building. The roof collapsed as a result of the large-scale fire.
Meanwhile, analysts at the Institute for War Studies noted that further strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces with ATACMS ballistic missiles against Russian air defense systems in Crimea would make the peninsula unsuitable for use as a foothold.
