Aviation enthusiast event Cockpit-Fest 2024 returns to Newark Air Museum, off A46 in Nottinghamshire, on June 22 and 23

The final preparations are underway for the return of Cockpit-Fest this summer.

This year the event will take place on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23 at Newark Air Museum, just off the A46 near Newark Showground.

Cockpit-Fest has become a popular fixture on the aviation calendar and each year attracts many visiting cockpits and associated displays, allowing owners the chance to display their prized exhibits to the general public.

This will be the 24th time that like-minded enthusiasts have come together to display their aircraft cockpit sections at the museum.

As ever this event will see a diverse range of aviation subjects represented, and 27 cockpits and airframes due to attend, incorporating military jet cockpits, helicopters and civilian types.

In addition, 18 visiting aviation related exhibits will be displayed inside, with seven special displays outside across the 16-acre site.

Alongside Cockpit-Fest an ‘Aeroboot’ aviation and avionics sale will be held, giving enthusiasts and the public to browse missing aviation artefacts, books and models from 37 different sellers.

Visitors will be encouraged to to vote for their favourite display, with winners receiving prizes.
