Heung-min Son and Micky van de Ven issue message to Radu Dragusin ahead of Euro 2024

Tottenham Hotspur players Heung-min Son and Micky van de Ven has sent Radu Dragusin a message ahead of his Euro 2024 campaign with Romania.

Along with the summer transfer window, Friday marks the opening of Euro 2024 as Germany take on Scotland in Munich.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side have made a bright start in the summer window having signed Timo Werner on loan for the new campaign.

On top of that, Daniel Levy has also sanctioned the exits of numerous players from Hotspur Way already with Tanguy Ndombele marking the most significant exit so far.

For four of the Tottenham players, focus is fully on their national sides during this summer’s European Championships being held in Germany.

And it seems as if the spirit is still riding high after the 2023/24 campaign with some Spurs players interacting over social media ahead of the international tournament.

What Heung-min Son and Micky van de Ven said to Radu Dragusin

Spurs will only have four players representing the club at this summer’s Euros which is certainly a small number on recent tournaments.

James Maddison was one of the players who was in contention to also be playing in the tournament but he missed the cut for Gareth Southgate’s final England squad.

There are certainly some upsides in not having too many representing players at this summer’s Euros with it allowing a big portion of the squad to rest up ahead of a much busier 2024/25 campaign.

Dragusin’s Romania do not get up and running in the tournament until Monday when they face Ukraine.

Ahead of the game, the 22-year-old has posted on his Instagram account with three images of him in his national side’s kit.

His club captain Son and Van de Ven both issued a reply with the South Korean saying: “Let’s go my boy!”

Whilst Van de Ven simply responded with the dragon emoji as Brennan Johnson also got in on the act by adding: “Good luck brother!”

Three Tottenham centre-backs in action this summer

Although Tottenham may not have many players involved in international tournaments this summer, they do have their main three centre-backs in action.

Alongside Van de Ven and Dragusin in the Euros, Cristian Romero is representing the world champions, Argentina, in this summer’s Copa America.

Van de Ven, specifically, has been susceptible to injuries since joining Tottenham so everyone at the club will be hoping all three come out of the action unscathed.

Tottenham are believed to be in the market for another centre-back this summer, but Postecoglou will not be wanting to go into the summer with any injury issues.
