Former President Donald Trump once again bragged about his cognitive skills at his 78th birthday celebration in West Palm Beach on Friday evening, proclaiming that he "aced" the dementia test he had been given.

"I think we should have — and I have called it, all presidents should have aptitude tests, IQ tests, or cognitive tests," said Trump. "Dr. Ronny Jackson gave me one," referring to his former scandal-plagued physician who now represents a congressional district in North Texas.

Trump went on to say, "I aced it."

The former president has made similar claims for years, but this is not actually how dementia tests work. They are typically only administered to people who have red flags for dementia, and they don't actually rule out dementia, only confirm it if the person fails the test — as many commenters on social media quickly pointed out.

"So he’s admitting he took the test. Sounds he failed it and captain candy man covered it up for him," wrote @MattMMPLS.

"I don't think anyone disputes that 'Candy Man' Ronny Jackson gives him a lot of stuff. 'Swallow these pills Don'. 'What are they, Doctor?'. 'They are a congnitive test,'' wrote @CrazyFenaker.

"Nothing bleaker than having a US President bragging about passing a dementia test with increasing intensity and naked joy as his disinhibition ramps up," wrote @teroterotero.

"Who gave Ronny Jackson a field sobriety test before he administered the 'aptitude' test?" wrote @Meidas_Michelle.

"Because the Constitution includes the requirements that have to be met to run for President, AND THE SCOTUS HAS ALREADY ELIMINATED NOT COMMITTING INSURRECTION, maybe we should start at a lower bar if we are going to add more - like, NEVER CONVICTED OF A FELONY, for a start," wrote @CyGuyDC.
