‘It’s virtually done’: Journalist says ‘unbelievable’ player is about to leave Fulham

Fulham have a big summer ahead of them.

The Whites have plenty of work to do after a disappointing summer transfer window last time around.

Indeed, the Aleksandar Mitrovic money is still there to be spent, while a potential impending departure for Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich continues to make headlines.

While Palhinha’s departure is the big story of the summer so far, another Fulham favourite could also be on the way out this summer.

According to Ben Jacobs, speaking to Fulham Fan News, Tim Ream is set to leave Craven Cottage this summer with the journalist claiming that a move back to MLS is virtually done.

Tim Ream set to leave Fulham

Jacobs claimed that the ‘unbelievable’ defender’s time in west London is coming to an end.

“With Tosin’s departure a new centre-back is high on the list of priorities. Maybe even two because we know that Tim Ream is very likely, in fact it’s virtually done from what I understand going back off to America to be a part of the 2026 World Cup,” Jacobs said.

Ream leaves a Fulham legend

Tim Ream may have played his final game for Fulham, and if this is it for the American, he leaves as a modern-day Fulham legend.

The centre-back has been promoted with Fulham three times, constantly re-inventing himself under different managers and refusing to lose his place in the team.

Of course, there have been times when Ream has had to stay on the bench for a prolonged period, but he’s never fully out of the picture at Craven Cottage.

Now, it looks as though the defender is going to be leaving on his own terms.

One year away from a testimonial, it’s sad that Ream will be leaving before he hits 10 years as a Fulham player, but he’ll be fondly remembered on the banks of the Thames.

Fulham have had many American players over the years, but Ream may well be the best of the bunch.
