Kieran Trippier has said that one Manchester City star is one of his favourite players.
The right-back, who spent some time in City’s youth ranks, has racked up 179 Premier League appearances and 48 caps for the senior England team.
Therefore, he has played alongside and against a wide range of top-class players throughout his career.
With the full-back now set to feature for England in the latest European Championship, he has shared some significant praise for another figure in the squad, which should delight a lot of City supporters.
Kieran Trippier says Phil Foden does amazing things in training
Ahead of England’s first group game of the tournament against Serbia, Trippier appeared in a recent video shared on talkSPORT’s YouTube channel where he discussed several of his international teammates, including these comments on Phil Foden.
He said: “He is always one of my favourite players. With Phil, I could walk back into camp and he has got a ball at his feet.
“He’s just obsessed with football, but you know, I think everybody sees him on the pitch, but what people don’t see in training is his vision, his technique and his ability is frightening.”

Since making his senior debut for Pep Guardiola’s side back in 2017 at the age of 17, the midfielder has scored 87 goals and delivered 53 assists in 270 appearances across all competitions.
In terms of his technique and ability on the ball, as Trippier mentioned, Alan Shearer recently picked Foden for these particular attributes when building his ultimate player for the Euros.
Now that Trippier has not only praised Foden for what he does on the pitch but also for what he shows in training in terms of other sides of his game such as his vision, this should further highlight to other fans who may not watch or support City how much of a talent he is.
