Report: 'Brilliant' £40m Man Utd player now wanted by club who are already keen to sign Mason Greenwood

Sales will be just as key this summer for Manchester United as arrivals, but two potential departures could be blocking each other.

Manchester United seem to have big plans this summer if the names being relentlessly linked are anything to go by. However, the club likely need to make a few sales in order to achieve all of this.

Luckily for Erik ten Hag, some players with value are on the cards for an exit with Casemiro, Mason Greenwood, Victor Lindelof and Jadon Sancho all likely to depart.

Greenwood in particular seems set to go, with Juventus already in discussions over a transfer, while the forward has agreed to terms.

Now, it seems that Juventus are targeting a second United player.

Juventus want Jadon Sancho this summer

This summer both the “brilliant” Sancho and Greenwood are expected to depart, and in an ideal world for United, they’d both draw a large fee. But frustratingly they’re both in the same position which sees the same clubs showing interest.

Already Greenwood has interest from Juventus which has led to discussions, and now the Turin outfit is said to also be asking about Sancho.

According to a report from Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are not only locked in Greenwood talks but have also asked about Sancho in the process.

With Greenwood valued at £40m and Sancho also valued at £40m, Juventus are looking at the possibility of a loan swoop for Sancho if United don’t manage to sell permanently.

It remains to be seen if Juventus want both or if they are playing the field before choosing one once seeing who United are more willing to let go.

Manchester United should ask for Matias Soule in return

In recent weeks, Juventus’ interest in Greenwood has led to rumours over a potential swap deal. But if this happens, or even if it doesn’t, United should still be enquiring about Matias Soule.

Losing Greenwood and Sancho, along with Antony being unusable on the form he often shows, a new right-wing option is potentially on the cards this summer and Soule shouldn’t be looked past.

Soule spent this past season on loan with Frosinone in Serie A and enjoyed an impressive breakout campaign, scoring 11 goals and assisting three which now sees him a hot commodity.

However, despite how impressive he’s been, Juventus are still seemingly trying to sign players who’d replace him. This means United should look to rescue him in the event a deal for Michael Olise is too expensive.

Soule can dribble, pass, create and score which makes him the ideal winger to share game-time with Amad Diallo next season.
