The Russian Federation continues to use aviation and attack in several directions, most actively in the Pokrovsk sector, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, over the past 24 hours, one-third of the Russian assaults took place in the Pokrovsk direction. Ukrainian defenders are holding strong there.
The total number of enemy attacks is currently 74.
Situation at the frontlines
Kharkiv direction. The Russian troops continue to attack in the area of Vovchansk. At present, the enemy is trying to realize three attempts to improve their positions, the previous three were repelled. Aviation operating from the territory of the Belgorod region was used in the area of Lyptsi.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy intensified their activity in the areas of Petropavlivka and Hrekivka. The total number of attacks today is nine. Fighting continues in the area of Rozdolivka in the Siversk direction.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy used aviation, striking in the areas of Andriivka, Klishchiivka, and New York.
In the Pokrovsk direction, there were 29 firefights of varying intensity in the last day. Nine of them are currently ongoing, namely in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Yevhenivka, Sokol, Novoselivka Persha, and Nevelske. Enemy aircraft were used in the vicinity of Ptyche and Novoselivka, and earlier in the day in the areas of Novohorodivka, Oleksandropol, Myrne, Zhelanne, Yevhenivka, Novoselivka Persha, and Karlivka.
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy tried to break through our lines ten times today, three attempts are still ongoing in the areas of Heorhiivka and Paraskoviivka. According to preliminary information, the Russian troops lost 54 personnel in this sector, destroying one armored personnel carrier and one ammunition depot.
The number of enemy attacks in the Vremivka direction increased to 10 over the last day. All of them were unsuccessful.
The situation in other sectors did not change significantly.
Earlier, the General Staff stated that the enemy was trying to storm the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions near Krynky.
