Jordan Pickford has highlighted a Manchester City player as being one of the best in the world in his position.

Jordan Pickford praises John Stones for his ability on the pitch and his personality off it
The Everton goalkeeper was asked in a recent press conference ahead of England’s opening group game against Serbia about his relationship with John Stones and how important he is for the Three Lions.
In response, Pickford said this about the City defender.
He said: “I remember playing in Germany at the U19 level and he made the step up early. I’ve known him for a long time, [he’s a] top player, what he’s won for his club.
“He’s fit and he’s ready to go. He’s one of the best centre-backs in the world. For England, he’s been quality, the amount of caps he’s got for us as well. [He’s a] top lad as well.”
Stones has been a top signing for City
City signed Stones, who Rio Ferdinand even said is a better defender than he was, from Pickford’s current club, Everton, back in the 2016 summer transfer window in a deal worth a reported fee of £47m.
During his time at the Etihad Stadium, the 30-year-old has made 257 appearances across all competitions, winning numerous trophies along the way as Pickford mentioned, including six Premier League titles.
