South Florida is trying to piece together their new coaching staff under Mitch Hannahs. And on Saturday afternoon, the Bulls made a splash. According to d1baseball.com’s Kendall Rogers, Western Michigan’s Daniel Schlereth will become their pitching coach. And former South Carolina assistant Joey Holcomb will also join the USF staff.
Holcomb joined the Gamecocks coaching staff in July of 2023. He coached the outfielders in 2024, as well as Ethan Petry. Petry blasted 20-plus home runs for the second straight year along with 53 RBIs, 51 walks, and 57 runs scored.
