Report: Saudi club will make move for ‘amazing’ Tottenham player if they can’t sign Mohamed Salah

A Saudi Pro League club are eyeing a move for one Tottenham Hotspur star should they fail in their attempts to land Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

Spurs have enjoyed a busy start to the summer transfer window in terms of outgoings, with five players heading out the door already.

After Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon and Japhet Tanganga were released earlier this month, Tanguy Ndombele followed the quartet out the door last week.

Interestingly, Tottenham are yet to pick up a transfer fee despite the outgoings, with all five players leaving on free transfers.

Spurs are expected to pick up decent fees for the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Emerson Royal, with both looking set for a summer exit.

But one of Ange Postecoglou’s most important players could also be subject to interest from Al-Ittihad this summer.

Al-Ittihad weighing up Heung-min Son move

According to TEAMtalk, Al-Ittihad are weighing up another huge move for Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

The Saudi Pro League club had a £150 million bid for the Egyptian knocked back last summer but could reignite their interest.

However, with Salah reportedly set to stay at Anfield beyond the summer, Heung-min Son is also on their radar.

The outlet claims that the Tottenham star is rising up their wish list but are yet to make contact with Son over a move to the Middle East.

Al-Ittihad are apparently planning to open talks with Son should their move for Salah prove unsuccessful.

Son won’t be leaving Tottenham this summer

It would be a huge surprise to see Spurs offload their captain this summer.

Son looks set to continue to play a key role under Postecoglou and other reports have claimed there is no chance of an exit this year.

Tottenham also reportedly have an option to extend Son’s contract by a further year and that possibility is looking more and more likely.

Labelled an ‘amazing’ player by teammate Fraser Forster, Son racked up 17 goals and 10 assists under Postecoglou last season.
