Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Jan Marian stated that the main goal of the Peace Summit in Switzerland, held on June 15-16, is not to discuss peace itself. It is a significant signal of global support for Ukraine's peace plan, Ukrinform, reports.

"This is a significant signal of support for Ukraine. We consider it extremely important to show the long-term support for the Ukrainian peace plan," he said.

The important thing, according to him, is that the process will continue "and perhaps one day Russia will be involved in it."

"This is not a discussion of peace; it is a discussion of support for the Ukrainian peace plan," Marian noted.

Peace Summit in Switzerland

On June 15-16, a Peace Summit will take place in Switzerland. Representatives from over 100 countries attend it, but without Russia's participation.

Specifically, on June 16, the Office of the President stated that work will focus on a roadmap addressing important security issues.

As Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba noted, work on a joint declaration at the Peace Summit has already been completed. Countries will be able to join it even after the first summit.

Moreover, Reuters obtained a draft of the joint declaration from the summit participants earlier. The communiqué emphasizes three important points.
